Highlights of the Campus Round of “Zindigi Prize Case Challenge 2023” at UMT

Futurizm of UMT, successfully organized the campus round of the “Zindigi Prize Case Challenge 2023“, in collaboration with JS Bank Ltd., on May 09, 2023. The venue of this event was 1C-17, central building UMT main campus, Lahore. The purpose of this competition was to evaluate the business ideas of young entrepreneurs to announce the campus round winner of “Zindigi Prize Case Challenge 2023“, powered by JS Bank Ltd. Total 16 distinguished business ideas were shortlisted across UMT to compete in this prestigious event. Moreover, esteemed professionals and industry experts were invited as jury members to assess the participants’ business plans.

The session commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Each team, along with their members, was given a limited time of 5 minutes to pitch its business plan before the jury. The jury members engaged in interactive discussions with the participants after each presentation, asking relevant questions and evaluating the business idea pitches. The results were compiled based on the evaluation criteria which included problem statement/assessment, proposed solution with practicality, market viability, innovation/competitive edge, competitor analysis, scalability/scope and financials.

Competition Winning Teams:

1st Position – “Eat-Pay”, Founded by Mr. Muhammad Sohaib Razzaq & Mr. Zeeshan Shaukat. The startup received Rs.30,000/- cash prize along with certificates and qualify to compete in the regional round of “Zindigi Prize Case Challenge 2023”. The startup also received free incubation at Futurizm.

2nd Position – “Fit Her”, Founded by Ms. Shaista Khalid & Mr. Hannan Iqbal. The startup received appreciation certificates and received free incubation at Futurizm.

3rd Position – “My Mother App 4.0”, Founded by Ms. Mubashara Akbar, Mr. M. Jawad & Ms. Gul e Lala. The startup received appreciation certificates and received free incubation at Futurizm.

The jury members were presented with souvenirs as tokens of appreciation and their dedicated time for the event. The Campus Director, Ms. Maheen Waseem and Deputy Campus Director, Ms. Noor Fatima, were also presented certificates for their valuable contribution in organizing the Zindigi Prize Case Challenge 2023.
